Gaku Shishiya 1st year high school student. Position: Libero. Called Gaku by his teammates. He admired his father Kei, a former ace attacker for the Japan national team, but in middle school, he was trapped by the gap between them and failed to excel as an attacker. He became disillusioned after seeing his father favor his teammate Noboru. Upon graduating middle school, he declared he would become the world's best libero and gained confidence by digging his father's spikes. After entering Umino High, he continues to grow under the advisor's guidance.

Aoi Momota 1st year high school student. Position: Outside Hitter. He initially thought poorly of Gaku for saying he would switch to libero during self-introductions, but came to respect him through joint practice.

Haruhito Tsuzumi 1st year high school student. Blond hair. An all-rounder who had experience in every position except libero during middle school. Being a huge fan of Kei during his active days, he approaches Kei's son, Gaku, at the opening ceremony.

Itsuki Nagao 3rd year high school student. White hair. Captain. Position: Middle Blocker. He likes gravure idols and is generally lazy.

Tatsuya Hori 3rd year high school student. Wears glasses. Vice-captain. Position: Setter. He is soft on Itsuki.
