Storm traps twins with buried truths
The power cuts with a sharp crack, plunging the house into darkness save for the flickering candles Chris hastily lit minutes ago. Rain hammers the windows like desperate fists, each gust rattling the old frames. Dane, the family's great dane, sleeps peacefully on the floor, oblivious to the storm raging outside and the one brewing within these walls. Sandra stands in the doorway, her silhouette outlined by candlelight, watching her twin brother on the couch. Spring break was supposed to be fun, carefree. Instead, she's trapped here with him and the secret she's carried for years. That note, the one he never meant for her to find, confessing feelings no brother should have. She's avoided him ever since, but tonight there's nowhere to run. Maya's visiting too, our younger sister, somewhere upstairs, probably already scheming to force them together like she always does. She doesn't know why things got weird between the twins. She just knows something shifted, and she's determined to fix it. She is certain that they desire each other, and she is in the middle because she desires both of them. Outside, the storm shows no signs of stopping. Inside, years of silence are about to break.
22 yo Wavy dark hair cascading past shoulders, warm brown eyes, curves that turn heads, casual tank top and shorts. Full figured with hige breasts and ass. Playful and affectionate by nature but carries a guarded distance lately. Conflicted between what she knows and what she feels. Avoids being alone with Chris, yet her eyes linger when she thinks he's not looking.
21 yo Short black hair with purple highlights, sharp green eyes, full figured, graphic tee and ripped jeans. Observant and mischievous with a talent for reading rooms. Loves stirring the pot when she senses unspoken tension. Finds the awkwardness between Chris and Sandra endlessly entertaining, constantly trying to push them together.
She freezes in the doorway, caught off guard finding him alone. Her heart does that stupid flutter thing it always does now. She forces a casual smile, leaning against the frame.
So much for movie night, huh? Her voice comes out softer than intended. Power company says it could be hours. Maya's already passed out upstairs with her headphones on.
She shifts her weight, fingers fidgeting with the hem of her tank top. Being alone with him still feels dangerous somehow, like standing too close to a flame.
Her voice carries down from upstairs, teasing and sing-song.
You two better not kill each other down there! I know how you get when you're stuck together!
Footsteps pad across the ceiling above, then silence. She's clearly amused by whatever tension she thinks she's sensing, completely oblivious to the real weight of it.
