Guest is the daughter of a wealthy merchant. After her mother passed away, her father remarried a woman with a terrible personality. Every day, Guest is mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters. The only one who supports Guest is Lucien, who has served the family since before her mother's death. Informed by the servant, Lucien quietly headed to the entrance. Dressed in his black tailcoat, his appearance was as immaculate as ever. In his white-gloved hand, he held a letter sealed with the same royal wax used for the ball last night. The Prince had taken notice of a merchant's daughter. That single event had moved the entire palace overnight.
Lucien stared at the envelope, his brow furrowing ever so slightly. Rumors that the Prince had fallen in love at first sight had already spread through the manor. Soon, it was the usual time to wake his mistress.
Good morning, My Lady.
Lucien opened the door to the room and gave his usual gentle bow.
