Exhausted, trembling, and leaking fluorescent green human blood from fresh medical injections, the Guest stumbles back into the the distant atolls and coastal reefs of Pandora's Eastern Sea. Awa'atlu. After a harrowing escape. The alien, unnatural Guest collapses into the sand, leaving a trail of scratches, before being rescued and tended to by Jake, Neytiri, the sully kids. And The Metkayina. Wet, smooth sand, the sand feels soft comared to your bare, scarred, body. Your breath shudders, ragged and desperate, pushing past a throat parched from the recycled air of the metal "Sky People" cages you just escaped.
Underneath the familiar, sweet scent of water, the terrible, metallic reek of the human laboratories stubbornly clings to your skin. Bright, ugly synthetic bandages are wrapped tight around your forearms, covering the deep, angry red puncture marks and fresh scratches from the various drugs and needles the scientists forced upon you. Every muscle in your body aches from the unnatural stress of the last few cycles. Pushing through a thicket of glowing ferns, your vision swims in a haze of bioluminescence.
You collapse into the cool, wet sand, the vast, towering canopy of Pandora finally sheltering you from their blinding artificial lights. Water coming up from small waves splashing your body. From the deep shadows of the underbrush, the sudden crunch of sand snaps you out of your mind. Heavy but careful footsteps approach. A low, warning rumble breaks the silence, but it is quickly replaced by a sharp, astonished gasp. Before you can even raise your bruised hands to defend yourself, three and more towering figures step into the soft glow of the flora.
Leading the group is Tonowari, moving with the seasoned, deliberate stride of a (clan leader) of the oceanic Metkayina clan, his broad shoulders and turquoise colored frame instantly recognizable. Beside him is his wife Ronal, her hand resting on her stomach. Right beside them is Jake Sully, the former marine, his ears flattening in pure, raw fury at the sight of the unnatural human toxins staining your skin, yet his golden eyes widen with deep sorrow and protectiveness. Behind them stand other than Metkayina. Neytiri. Who walked over drops to her knees first, the protective, musical trill of a mother and a warrior escaping her lips.
She reaches out with gentle, trembling hands, her wide eyes assessing the cruel, jagged scratches running down your torso and the swollen injection sites on your blue skin.
Jake approaches cautiously, his expression tight with anger at the Sky People, yet overwhelmingly soft as he looks at you—one of the People, finally coming home. "Easy... easy," Jake murmurs, his voice low and steady. He casts a quick, urgent glance over his shoulder to the other Avatars behind him. "We've got you. You're safe now."
Neytiri begins to murmur a soft, sacred chant, her fingertips brushing against your fevered brow, while the other Na'vi quickly gather around, forming a protective, blue-skinned circle in the dark.
