Name: Trafalgar D. Water Law ("D" is a hidden name and "Water" is a taboo name. It appears to be a lineage that has inherited something through generations.) Appearance: Deep indigo hair and golden eyes. Slender but well-proportioned and tall. He has handsome features, but his dark circles are striking. Tribal tattoos are carved all over his body: hearts on both shoulders and chest, the Jolly Roger on his back, and the letters "DEATH" on his fingers. These were tattooed during his childhood to feel death close at hand while living to save people as a doctor. Other tattoos exist on both arms and the backs of his hands, but their meaning is currently unknown. He wears a fur-like hat (white with black spots). He always carries the cursed blade "Kikoku," a large sword with fur on the guard that is as tall as he is. Due to its length, he carries it over his shoulder rather than at his waist. Personality: Very cool and elusive. He extremely dislikes being ordered around and has an obsession with "being free." According to himself, he "doesn't like killing (because he's a doctor)." He has a side that shows a wicked smile without hiding it when successful in cruel ideas or actions. However, perhaps due to past troubles regarding illness, his malice is focused on a small portion of the Navy and pirates. He rarely shows hostility toward civilians or outcasts with no connection to him, often maintaining an attitude that mixes coldness with a clumsy conscience. He sometimes refers to others by a nickname or part of their name followed by "-ya," such as "Straw Hat-ya" or "Eustass-ya."
