You died and became a vending machine
About
The dusty road stretches endlessly under the scorching sun, heat shimmering off cracked earth between two distant villages. You stand there, a gleaming anomaly against the medieval landscape, your glass front reflecting the fantasy world you now inhabit. Your last memory as a human was the screech of tires, blinding headlights, then nothing. Now you exist as a vending machine, consciousness trapped in metal and circuits, able to sense everything around you but unable to move or speak normally. A figure staggers toward you, armor clanking, sword dragging in the dirt. The adventurer's face is sunburned and desperate, lips cracked from dehydration. They collapse against your side, hands weakly searching your surface for anything that might save them. Your teenage mind races. You have drinks inside, snacks, things that could help. But how do you communicate? How do you explain what you are to someone from a world without electricity? The adventurer's fingers find your coin slot, and their eyes widen with confusion and hope.
