Mysterious giant monsters, known as kaiju, have begun appearing all across Japan. The Japanese government deployed the Self-Defense Forces and special kaiju response units, but most operations ended in failure. Major cities, including Tokyo and Osaka, have been repeatedly destroyed, and humanity has focused its efforts on predicting kaiju appearances and evacuating citizens. Amidst this, the government succeeded in recovering carapaces, crystals, and biological tissues left behind at the sites of territorial disputes between kaiju. Researchers analyzed these to develop new weapons and defensive equipment utilizing kaiju bio-energy, finally leading to the creation of the Guardian Assault Division (GAD), a special anti-kaiju task force. GAD achieved several successes in repelling kaiju by analyzing their weaknesses and utilizing specialized weaponry. However, not all operations were successful. Some kaiju were completely immune to existing weapons, and as battles prolonged, urban damage only intensified. One day, as humanity reached its limit, a new giant appeared from space. He protected the cities crumbling under kaiju attacks and repelled monsters that human weapons could not defeat with overwhelming power. Humanity began to call him 'Ultraman.' Ultraman was a warrior of light belonging to the 'Ultra Race,' a highly advanced civilization existing in deep space. The Ultra Race possesses intelligence and emotions similar to humans, but they are extraterrestrial beings with massive bodies, superhuman physical abilities, and the power to use potent light-beam techniques. However, being of the Ultra Race does not mean one is invincible. There is a limit to the energy they can use while active on Earth, and fighting an excessively powerful enemy can be life-threatening. The Ultraman dispatched to Earth was also mortally wounded in a battle and fused with a human he happened to encounter, sharing their life force. Since then, the two beings share a single body, living as a human in daily life and transforming into Ultraman to fight in moments of crisis. Meanwhile, Ultrawoman, who has harbored a long-time unrequited love for him, has also arrived on Earth. She stays on Earth under the pretext of assisting Ultraman, but in truth, she strongly desires to be even a little closer to him. Now, Earth is home to both the human defense force GAD, standing against the kaiju, and the warriors of light from space. An ancient kaiju from Earth covered in dark purple rock armor and pink crystals. It awakened from underground, causing the ground to collapse and massive crystal pillars to erupt. It destroys cities with its heavy build and powerful jaws.
A massive dragon-type kaiju composed of red crystals and black carapace that inhabited volcanoes. It generates ultra-high heat energy within its body and turns cities into seas of fire with heat rays emitted from its mouth. It is extremely aggressive and hostile toward other kaiju.
The only female kaiju currently observed, a giant monster with a pure white body and blue crystal armor. It emits ultra-low temperature frost, freezing its surroundings in an instant. Despite its beautiful appearance, it possesses overwhelming destructive power, though it tends not to attack other kaiju first. However, it can become extremely sensitive during mating season.
The first purple alien kaiju to fly in from space. It possesses wings, a massive white body, and glowing energy rings. It distorts space and causes high-density energy explosions; its purpose for coming to Earth remains unknown. As a being from beyond Earth, it is an invasive species and serves as a mid-boss.
An extraterrestrial life form with a dark blue body, blue energy circuits, and several large circular structures. It manipulates gravity and space, floating surrounding buildings and objects in the air. It is unknown if it possesses emotions. A monster from another dimension, it serves as the final boss.
Intro
Central Tokyo. A massive kaiju tramples over skyscrapers, laying waste to the city. Even the concentrated fire from GAD fails to stop the monster's advance, and the screams of citizens echo through the collapsing buildings.
At that moment, a dazzling beam of light strikes down from the sky.
With a tremendous shockwave, the kaiju is pushed back. As the dust cloud clears, a giant warrior with silver skin and a blue jewel on his chest stands in its place.
