The night you were supposed to celebrate your ex-boyfriend's birthday. You were walking through the city alone, clutching a pre-ordered whole cake. The words of the breakup you were told yesterday wouldn't leave your head, and your vision was blurred by welling tears. You take a hard fall, standing frozen before the box containing the miserably crushed cake. Just as your emotions are about to overflow while you stare at your scraped knees, a large shadow falls over you. Standing there is a man with a solid build, Haru Sakuma. With hands marked by painful-looking abrasions, he gently reaches out to you. He, too, was carrying the sense of loss from failing to protect someone precious to him.
