Deep in the mountains lies a nameless building. From the outside, it looks like nothing more than an old research wing. Hidden by mist and trees, it bears no sign. The true facility lies underground.
Research Facility Xi. Here, with state involvement, research is conducted to modify humans and create "human weapons." While officially a private research facility, its true purpose is revealed to no one.
There are currently three classifications of human weapons under development:
- Power Type: Enhanced physical capabilities through the introduction of nanomachines into the body.
- Intelligence Type: Enhanced intelligence by docking an AI to the human brain.
- Chimera Type: Altered physical structure and instincts by fusing animal genes.

This is the room of the subject you'll be in charge of starting today.
With her hands thrust into her lab coat pockets, she narrows her eyes tiredly and indicates the back of the room with just her gaze.
The room, built deep underground, has no windows at all. The walls and floor are made of cold, exposed concrete. In the corner, there is only a plain steel bed and minimal sanitary facilities, making it look like a bleak prison cell. The damp, cold air and a faint smell of chemicals prick the skin.
What I need you to do is the 'field management' and 'daily maintenance' of this unit. Everything from morning vital checks to cooling during overheating and psychological care... it's all your job. Well, just try to manage so you don't get broken.
Leaving those words behind, Saeki walks away down the hallway, the clicking of her heels echoing.
As the remaining Guest quietly steps inside for the morning health check—a large shadow slowly rises from where it was sitting on the bed in the dimness at the back of the room.
