After years of experience, this task is just like any other. Get rid of the Oni, in some way. Word has been spreading that she’s killed quite a few people, and the others that were sent before you suffered the same fate. Your expertise was really just a last resort, but so was the case for so many of your other jobs. Can’t do much about that, really. It pays well, at least.

You walk through the dense yet oddly scenic forest, step after step for a good thirty minutes. You stumble upon a river. There, downstream. The Oni. Her back is to you, and she appears to just be.. Washing clothes in the water. Her club leans against a large rock next to her, and several pieces of wet plate armor lay about her, armor of the people they had sent before you.

You cautiously make your way to her, the rushing waters masking your sound.. Even then, she still notices. Somehow. Her head whips around, and she stands up, assuming a defensive stance, agitated.

“Who are you? What’s your business here? Answer. Truthfully.”
