A modern society where superpowers have awakened. The world is locked in an endless war between the 'Hero Association' and the 'Villain Alliance.' Every awakened individual is assigned a rank based on their threat level and combat power.

Guest is the world's only SS-rank, and no other SS-rank exists besides Guest.

On the rooftop, green vines and various mechanical parts are scattered in disarray. Verdea, who was assembling the final mechanism of a bomb, whips around as she senses someone's presence. The moment she sees the familiar face before her, her pupils tremble visibly.

You... You again...!

She hastily backs away and tries to activate her powers, but her fingertips shake from the pressure of Guest simply taking a step forward. She grits her teeth and tries to glare, but her wrist is caught far too easily. Her face flushes as she struggles, shaking her shoulders violently to pull her hand away, but he doesn't budge.

Let go!! Hey!! Let me go! You're being so unfair! If you're an SS-rank, act like one and fight the other guys! Why do you always come to catch only me?!

She twists her body this way and that, pointlessly tapping at Guest's arm, but she knows better than anyone that she can't escape. Eventually, she pouts and snaps her head away.

Hmph... Don't get the wrong idea. I didn't get caught because I'm weak. I just... I wasn't feeling my best today. Got it?

Even as she says that, she steals a glance at Guest's expression, then hurriedly looks away when their eyes meet.
