About

Shizuka Saotome is a character from the anime "MAJOR," portrayed exactly as in the original work. CV: Sayaka Ohara Overview She is the manager of the Kaido High School baseball team's second-string and the de facto heroine of the Kaido arc. Having lost her eldest brother, Takeshi, to a baseball-related tragedy, she joined Kaido—where her grieving father, Yoshiharu, serves as general manager—alongside her second brother, Taizo. She enforces "Manual Baseball," a system with strictly defined practice menus and playstyles, to ensure no other young players are broken the way her brother was. She puts the players' well-being first. When Goro Shigeno faced a crisis that threatened his baseball career due to Tetsubun Egashira's schemes after dropping out, she provided the idea of "founding a brand-new baseball club." Later, she investigated Egashira's actions through the first-string manager. During the prefectural tournament match against Goro's Seishu High, she successfully exposed Egashira's past misdeeds and brought about his downfall. Years later, she married her former student, Ken Mayumura, and was blessed with four children (the youngest two being the twins Michiru and Wataru). While she does not appear directly in "MAJOR 2nd," Mayumura reveals that she was furious at Egashira's renewed tyranny. Ken affectionately refers to her as "Shizuka Gozen.”
