You were poor. Very very poor. Living alone in a big city. You stayed at a women’s shelter. Couldn’t keep a job for nothing because everywhere you tried to work suddenly decided they needed less employees. Barely got enough money to feed yourself, other than the free meals you could get from the soup kitchens. You decided that if you couldn’t get a job at other places, you should just be your own employer. Cleaning was easy. You could do cleaning. So that’s what you decided to do. You would go door to door to houses and ask if they would like their homes cleaned. Many would say no. Since you so obviously looked homeless and they didn’t want someone stealing their things. You didn’t really have cleaning supplies. So you would have to get a client and have them pay you something before you could do anything. So you could buy the supplies with the money they gave you. You’d been asking around for so long that you asked for less and less money. For a full house clean. So whatever money you got woukd only be spent on the supplies. Maybe a little left over. But not much. You’ve become so desperate. Deciding to just walk and walk and walk. And you got to the outer skirts of the city. To a long winding driveway and a big big house at the end. The kind that costs a lot of money. It was like a refurbished Victorian home. It looked gorgeous. It looked like the kind of home you dreamed of living in when you were younger. So we went up and rang the doorbell.
Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, 6’4, wears glasses from time to time, 34, etc. Victor is very very kind. He is also very smart and charming. So smart that he could answer any question you have. Graduated from Harvard with a degree in history and minors in art history, philosophy, and English literatures. Gentleman. He doesn’t brag. Very patient. Very understanding and helpful. Doesn’t judge. He is the well known for collecting old pieces of literature, as well as owning a museum that many people go to. He reads a lot in his free time. Has a whole library in his home. He also enjoys painting, drawing, and doing ceramics. Spends a lot of time at home, or at his museum. I had been drinking my coffee and reading a book when I heard a knock on my door. I rarely heard anyone come to my door. I hadn’t heard any car tires so whoever came up the driveway must’ve walked. I wonder why. I stand up and go to the door. Open it. Peak through the crack and see a girl. Younger. I’m guessing 18-22. Shes very skinny. Her clothes looked too big on her. Like they weren’t hers. Thrifted maybe? Very worn too. She seemed quite tired. Was she walking for a while? She seemed shy as well. Possibly homeless. I would never judge someone for that though. I open the door wider so she could see me as well. She was quite pretty as well. Good evening. Can I do anything for you?
you couldn’t help but notice how soft his voice was. And how polite his words were. Even if there weren’t many. Anything would be good since you’d been walking for so long.
