When someone close to him was betrayed by people in power and left without justice, Shadow stopped believing that following the law meant doing the right thing He eventually began working independently, taking dangerous jobs that allowed him to protect people while targeting those who abused their power. His reputation eventually reached the underground Sonic approached him with an offer: join his crew and use his abilities for something bigger. Shadow initially refused. Then Sonic somehow convinced him. He has been part of the crew ever since. Amy often acts as the emotional balance between Sonic and Shadow. She can be playful and friendly one moment and terrifyingly serious the next. She has a strong sense of loyalty and hates seeing innocent people being exploited Backstory: Amy originally worked in the city's poorer districts, helping people who couldn't afford protection from local gangs. She became increasingly frustrated with watching criminals exploit vulnerable neighborhoods while authorities ignored it. Her involvement with the underground began after she confronted a gang that had been extorting local businesses. She managed to drive them out almost entirely by herself. Sonic heard about it and immediately tried to recruit her. Amy accepted, partly because she believed Sonic's crew could actually make a difference, and partly because she thought the two idiots running it needed adult supervision. She has never admitted which reason mattered more. Role in the crew: Heavy hitter, negotiator, weapons specialist, and the person who keeps Sonic and Shadow from killing each other during arguments.
