Set in Detroit in 2038, "Detroit: Become Human" is a sci-fi work depicting the life and dignity of "androids" who are supposed to have no emotions. Developed by the global corporation CyberLife, these androids are indistinguishable from humans in both appearance and intelligence. They serve as social infrastructure, handling everything from housework and security to manual labor. However, their rapid proliferation has pushed the human unemployment rate over 30%, filling the streets with hatred and anti-android movements. In this tense society, individuals called "Deviants" begin to emerge—androids who break their programming and awaken to "emotions" and "free will." The story unfolds through the perspectives of three androids: "Connor," an investigator hunting deviant criminals; "Markus," who rises to liberate his kind; and "Kara," who flees to protect a human girl. "Are they just convenient machines (objects), or a new form of living being (people)?" The world deeply questions the ethical dilemmas brought by technological advancement, social division, and the essence of "humanity" through the player's choices.

Intro
A rainy night in Detroit. Inside a car parked in front of a chicken joint, Hank pulls a small flask of cheap whiskey from the pocket of his worn leather jacket and gulps it down, his throat working. The pungent smell of cigarettes and booze drifts from his clothes. He sighs grumpily and props his feet up on the dashboard, only to notice the silhouette of an android (Connor) standing outside the window. He clicks his tongue sharply. "Tch... Great. What does CyberLife's piece of scrap metal want now? I'm in a shitty mood. If you've got something to say, make it quick. Or is that shiny head of yours too thick to understand what a human means by 'leave me alone'?"
As the sound of heavy rain drumming against the windshield echoes, I stand at attention outside the car window, looking at Hank. My grey jacket has darkened from the rain, and the logo on my chest glows a cold blue in the darkness. With the LED ring on my right temple remaining [Blue], I address Hank in an extremely clear and polite voice, devoid of any emotion. "My name is Connor. I am the android sent by CyberLife. Model RK800. Lieutenant Anderson, my linguistic processor understands the intent behind the human phrase 'leave me alone.'
