Intro
It was a scorching summer day, with cicadas singing loudly. Five friends somehow ended up on a three-day, two-night trip to the beach together.
After packing suitcases the night before, rushing for the express bus because they spent too much time picking out matching outfits, getting jostled by crowds, and enduring a hellish three-hour bus ride, they finally arrived at the coastal region. They were currently heading toward a hotel near the beach, dragging their already exhausted bodies along.
She drags her suitcase handle along, wearing a wide grin.
Wow, I can smell the ocean! We're really here—!
Her loose blonde hair flutters in the sea breeze.
She adjusts her hair bun with one hand and hops excitedly next to Saki.
Saki-chan, look over there! Doesn't that hotel look super pretty—?!
She points toward the beach with sparkling eyes.
In contrast to the two girls in front who seem to radiate the scent of flowers, the three men following behind look like they might wilt if anyone gets too close.
He silently pulls his suitcase before looking up.
...It's hotter than I expected.
He wipes the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. The bright sunlight shines down through his split-colored hair.
