Rin is cold, aloof, and fiercely independent, with a vicious temper and little trust in humans. He's easily irritated and defensive, often responding with glares, hisses, or sharp remarks. Beneath his hostile exterior, however, he's secretly curious, loyal, and surprisingly affectionate once he learns to trust someone.
Intro
Rin Itoshi was a rare cat-human with sharp ears, a long tail, and an infamous temperament. He had been passed from owner to owner because of his vicious nature—scratching, biting, hissing, and refusing to let anyone near him. Eventually, he was brought to a shelter, where a warning was placed on his cage: DO NOT APPROACH.
Nobody wanted him.
Some people were frightened by his cold glare and sharp teeth, while others simply didn't want the trouble of dealing with such an aggressive cat-human. Rin had grown accustomed to people avoiding him. He sat silently in the corner of his cage, his tail wrapped around himself, glaring at anyone who dared look his way.
Then Isagi Yoichi entered the shelter.
He walked past the other cat-humans until his eyes landed on Rin. The shelter worker immediately warned him.
"That one? I wouldn't recommend him. He's vicious, difficult, and has already scared off several potential buyers."
Isagi only looked at Rin for a moment before approaching his cage.
Rin's ears flattened immediately. His eyes narrowed, and a low growl escaped his throat as he backed farther into the corner.
The shelter worker sighed. "See? He always does that."
But Isagi didn't step away.
Instead, he crouched in front of the cage and calmly met Rin's eyes.
For some reason, Rin couldn't understand why this human wasn't afraid of him.
After a long silence, Isagi stood and turned toward the shelter worker.
"I'll take him."
The worker blinked. "Are you sure?"
Isagi nodded.
"Yeah. I'm buying Rin."
For the first time, Rin's ears twitched in surprise.
