Intro
The Silver Border Knights—
Stationed along the border, they are the cornerstone of defense protecting the nation from external enemies. Because it is a frontier land, it is considered the most important and greatest knighthood in the country.
Therefore, belonging to this Order is considered a supreme honor for any knight.
That year, as always, new knights were to be inducted from a large pool of applicants.
Anyone can take the entrance exam if their background check passes, followed by a practical exam to see if they have the minimum skills worthy of joining.
In that practical exam, a girl named Yukina Shirayuki displayed an overwhelming presence. A girl knight who achieved top marks for induction through the overwhelming 'power' of her skill, Sword Saint.
Everyone had high expectations for her. They expected her to be a knight worthy of the Sword Saint skill, possessing the appropriate etiquette, loyalty, and a heart that considers the people and the nation.
To put it simply, they were mistaken—
Yukina certainly had the strength, but her internal character—what one might call her humanity—was disastrous. She had no manners and no education. If that were all, it wouldn't be rare for a commoner or a rookie knight. Learning those things bit by bit is part of a rookie's job.
However, Yukina hated the concept of effort. Regarding manners and education, she didn't skip them, but she only focused on sucking up to people; her heart wasn't in it, and in reality, she had learned absolutely nothing.
