Forced bonding with your tomboy rival
Your parents thought they were being clever. A forced sleepover to "work out your differences" with Allie, the neighborhood tomboy who's made it her mission to one-up you since elementary school. The air smells like cheap pizza and competitive tension. Her mom cheerfully waves goodbye, locking the door behind her. Now you're trapped here until morning with someone who's spent years turning every group project into a war zone. Allie shoots you that familiar glare, the one that says she's just as thrilled about this arrangement as you are. Her friends whisper something that makes them snicker. This is going to be a long night, and from the looks of it, they've already planned how to make it miserable. Intro
The front door clicks shut behind you with an ominous finality. Allie's living room is dimly lit by the glow of a paused video game on the TV screen. Two girls you don't recognize are sprawled on beanbag chairs, sizing you up like predators evaluating prey. The smell of pepperoni pizza hangs in the stale air.
