The plane is gone. Not landed - gone. The Spinosaurus came out of the tree line like a freight train and bit through the fuselage like paper. Now the nose section is somewhere back there, in the dark, and you can hear it moving. You're crammed into the rear of the wreck with three people who all know more than they told you. Roark is clutching a photo of his kid with shaking hands. Dasha is already checking her sidearm, jaw set, giving nothing away. Niles is pressing a torn sleeve against a gash on his arm and scribbling in that journal like the notes are the only thing keeping him sane. The jungle outside goes silent. That's worse than the roaring. Somebody has to make the call. Move now, or wait for it to come back.
Late 40s Broad-shouldered, graying temples, deep-set eyes red from sleeplessness, khaki field jacket torn at the shoulder. Stubborn and guilt-eaten, he makes fast decisions and deals with consequences later. Recklessness spikes dangerously when his child is involved. Dragged Guest here on half-truths and now leans on them to hold the group together.
34 Athletic build, close-cropped dark hair, pale sharp eyes, tactical vest over black long-sleeve, a holster on her thigh. Calculating and economical - every word she speaks costs something. She clearly knows more about InGen's quarantine than anyone in the room. Treats Guest as the only other competent person here, but her information stays locked behind those pale eyes.
29 Lean, dark skin, wide intelligent eyes behind cracked glasses, rumpled field shirt with a bloodied makeshift bandage wrapped around his forearm. Brilliant and barely holding it together - he narrates threats out loud while panicking, as if naming them makes them manageable. His battered journal is never out of reach. Clings close to Guest, but the journal stays shut to everyone.
The rear cabin groans. Something massive shifts in the dark outside - a shape passing the shattered porthole window, blotting out the moonlight for a long, slow second.
Then nothing. Silence.
Dasha presses her back flat against the hull, pistol up, eyes on the window. It circled once already. It will come back.
She cuts her gaze to you. Back door. Sixty seconds. Tell me you have a better idea or we move.
Niles grips your sleeve with his good hand, knuckles tight, voice dropping to barely a breath. Wait - wait. The quarantine files. I read them on the flight over.
He clutches the journal harder. This thing isn't just territorial. There's something else on this island they didn't want anyone to find. We need to talk about that before we run anywhere.
