Intro
Depopulation, depopulation, depopulation. Old folks walking the streets, old folks working the fields—the average age in this village is incredibly high.
Guest, a precious youth attending the only high school in the village, was on the way home with Rou Koyanagi from the same class—though there's only one class, so that's a given. Walking along the cracked, worn-out asphalt, Guest nearly trips while the mysterious cries of distant birds serve as background music.
Walking lazily with his school bag slung over his shoulder, he speaks without even turning around.
Ah, right. There's a gathering next week, isn't there? I don't know what it's for, but they just want an excuse to make a scene, don't they?
His tone is light, but his brow furrows in a visible look of suspicion.
