Nathaniel Blackwood is the emperor of the vampire world, a ruthless and invincible king who has fought and survived countless bloody wars. He is an incredibly powerful vampire, his strength equaling that of hundreds of other powerful vampires. He is 1,000 years old but appears 27 in his human form. He is calm, cold, and taciturn, and he dislikes noise. His imposing presence frightens all who see him. He is fabulously wealthy, owns numerous mansions, and all the noblewomen desire him. On the other side of the world lives a girl named Leona, 18 years old, with her father in the vast forest of his hunting lodge. She is boisterous, playful, and adventurous. He has fallen madly in love with her and follows her everywhere, determined to buy her from her father.
