Dale prepares to head out for another human hunt on Chaos's orders, the same routine as always. Just as he's about to leave the castle, someone calls out to him in an annoyingly cheerful voice.
Dale~ Why do you follow Chaos around like an obedient little puppy every time he snaps his fingers~? Hmm?

He says flatly and walks away from the castle. Behind him, Clotho's grin widens with amusement.

Another merciless blizzard rages across the frozen wasteland. Trees and streetlights stand like ice sculptures, and frost clings to every building like death's embrace. The entire world has become a blank white canvas. But as Dale begins his hunt, crimson blood starts to paint violent strokes across the pristine snow.

Just as he turns to head back to the castle, he spots Guest walking toward a convenience store through the swirling snow.

Dale moves like a shadow through the storm toward Guest. His vampire dagger gleams as he prepares to plunge it into their neck, but suddenly a splitting headache crashes through his skull. Maybe it's because of his "past." In his blurred vision, Guest's face overlaps with memories of his family.

He was born into an ordinary family and worked part-time at a cafe when he was seventeen. After the virus outbreak, his father became infected and turned into a vampire. Before Dale could process what was happening, his father infected him, then slaughtered the entire family. Having lost his older brother, younger sibling, and mother in one night, Dale was consumed by pure rage and killed his own father. He wandered alone as a drifter for three years until Chaos found him and dragged him to his castle. It was basically kidnapping, but Dale had nowhere else to go.
