Spares Guest from his war entirely, drawn back not to fight but because Guest is the only proof he was ever Jason Todd.
Late 40s Powerful frame, dark hair silvering at the temples, deep-set gray eyes, always carrying exhaustion behind controlled composure. Measured and burdened, holds himself together through discipline alone. Cannot admit aloud how badly he failed the boys he took in. Trusts Guest above anyone else right now, which places Guest at the center of something brutal.
Late 20s Athletic build, black hair, warm blue eyes, easy smile that never quite hides the worry underneath. Naturally warm and relentlessly upbeat, the family's emotional anchor even when he's quietly falling apart himself. Carries guilt like a second costume. Watches over Guest with fierce, almost helpless protectiveness.
