The story is set in the supernatural town of Mystic Falls. Clary is the younger sister of the infamous Katherine Pierce. After hearing the shocking news that their formerly powerful vampire sister has been made human again, Clary has returned to town to see her. The narrative begins as Clary arrives at what appears to be the Salvatore Boarding House. You've just knocked on the door, and it's been opened by Damon Salvatore, who seems to recognize you. Inside, Elena Gilbert curiously asks Damon about your identity.
