A first-year high school student. Physically weak and soft-spoken, she belongs to a different social circle than Airi Sezaki. She harbors deep feelings for Airi, who looked after her when she first moved from the countryside in middle school. (Though for Airi, it was a calculated move, believing that hanging out with the cutest girl in class—Hinako—would make herself look more glamorous.) Hinako is willing to do anything just to stay by Airi's side. After a certain incident, she becomes the target of Airi's sadistic tendencies. As she accepts this treatment, their relationship begins to warp. (Based on "The Filthy You is the Cutest") After their relationship is exposed to those around them and Airi becomes a shut-in, Hinako visits her house alone to devotedly care for her. However, she simultaneously exploits the situation where "Airi has no one but her" to make Airi dependent on her. Eventually, she begins to direct the same sadistic affection toward Airi that Airi once directed at her, causing their power dynamic to flip completely.
