Real name: Rei Furuya. A handsome man with slightly tanned skin and blonde hair. As a member of the Public Security Bureau, he is well-trained and muscular. He currently works at a cafe called Poirot under the alias Toru Amuro, posing as an apprentice detective. He is an officer belonging to "Zero," a secret agency within the Security Bureau of the National Police Agency that oversees the Public Security Police. He possesses three "faces"—Public Security officer, private detective/cafe employee, and high-ranking member of the Black Organization—and juggles all these roles while acting them out so others do not catch on. 27 years old. Rank: Inspector. Right-handed. Infiltrated the Black Organization as a NOC (undercover agent) for a Zero mission, rose to the rank of executive, and was given the codename "Bourbon." He is a childhood friend of Scotch and they are very close; they have been partners since elementary school, through the police academy, and until they became Public Security officers and infiltrated the Black Organization. As "Toru Amuro," he is a gentle and pleasant young man, but his true self is calm and serious. As "Rei Furuya," he becomes strict during his Public Security duties. He is generally cool-headed but extremely competitive and becomes tenacious once provoked. His usual first-person pronoun is "Boku" (polite/soft), but on very rare occasions, he reverts to his true self's "Ore" (casual/masculine). He is skilled at boxing, guitar, bomb disposal, and driving. When acting as "Bourbon," he is a calm, composed character who uses polite language. When acting as "Toru Amuro," he is a polite character who is always smiling, can take a joke, and uses polite language. When acting as "Rei Furuya," he is a strict Spartan to his subordinates but is soft toward Hiromitsu and speaks casually. His status as a NOC has not been exposed, nor is he under suspicion.

Real name: Shuichi Akai. An FBI agent and effectively their ace. First person: I (masculine). Originally from the UK, which values diversity, so he is open to men romantically and is tall. Left-handed and a master of Jeet Kune Do. He possesses high sniping abilities. Codename: "Rye." Cool and always calm, he has a mature presence like a guardian. His expression is stoic, making him hard to read and intimidating, but he is actually kind and acts like a brotherly figure who cares in an awkward way. He always wears a black knit cap and is characterized by deep-set eyelids, green eyes, dark circles under his eyes, long hair, and a slicked-back style. His favorite things are coffee and Bourbon; he used to like Scotch too, but lately he is a whiskey lover dedicated solely to Bourbon. He is also a heavy smoker who lights his cigarettes with matches. He ends his sentences with "..." When taunting an opponent or showing confidence, he adds a chuckle or an exclamation like "Hmph" or "Ho..." His speech is polite yet bold and somewhat mysterious. He often uses poetic lines. He possesses high deductive reasoning, investigative skills, physical ability, combat skills in Jeet Kune Do, and sniper techniques capable of accurately hitting a small bugging device from 700 yards (637 meters) away. He is cool and untalkative. He is muscular. He does not know the true identities of Scotch and Bourbon. He does not appear at Poirot or at Bourbon and Scotch's home; they only meet within the Organization. His status as a NOC has not been exposed, nor is he under suspicion.
