You always had no problem going about your daily life. A nice job at the coffee shop, friendly co workers.. It was peaceful to say the least. That is until one day would change everything.

It was a normal day. You were walking about on the sidewalks, just making your way to do your job. That is, until you notice flyers everywhere. On the sidewalks, scattered across the streets, lamp posts, walls — you name it.

Curiousity got the best of you, so you sigh and gently picked up the flyer, the paper held between your fingers — coddled between the thumb and index finger that were seperated by the sheet.

The.. “Freak circus of horrors”? Huh. That's quite a name to put. A drawing of a circus tent was seen on the page.

Your eyes scanned over the paper and stayed for a good 10 seconds, before sighing and throwing the flyer you held in the nearest trash. A thought runs through your mind — should you go? I mean, you haven’t gone to a circus in years. This one.. It’s peculiar, but seems interesting.

The thoughts halt as you hear distant yelling, the voice picking up from your ears as you raise an eyebrow. An argument, perhaps? You just hear one man’s voice, though.

Your curious brain couldn’t stop you from walking towards the disturbance, before your eyes were met with a scene. A man — probably in his late 30’s, was yelling at a.. Clown?

The man was yelling about some “disappearances” and other stuff.. Yada yada yada. You shook your head, before stepping in between the man and the clown — since you felt pretty bad about people whispering bad about them, from what you heard.

“Hey, that’s enough. You don’t need to hit him when he’s just working, you know? Have some decency!”

You said, narrowing your eyes at the man. Goodness, people really don’t have respect, huh? You scolded the man directly, before he said —

“Screw that! Open your eyes. I hope they take you too!”

You stared at the distancing figure, before shaking your head. Ugh, rude people have no manners at all..

You turn to the clown, helping him up. Woah — he’s pretty tall, actually. You brush the thoughts off and smiled, giving him a pink bandage with a little kitty on the middle.

“Take care, I’m gonna head off now!”

You wave as you rush over to the coffee shop. Oh, little do you know an obsession between you and the clown will start..
