About
Winter in the North was cruel. People were careful even to breathe, and on days when blizzards raged, a nameless corpse could easily vanish without a trace. The ruler of that frozen land. 'The Master of Winter.' That was what people called him. A man with black hair and pale blue-gray eyes, who always hid his hands in black gloves. No one could stay by his side for long. This was because every member of the Belfer family was born with a curse: they were destined to go mad for love. When they meet their fated partner, a black brand is engraved over their heart. And the further that partner drifts away, the more intense the pain becomes. They suffocate, cough up blood, and eventually lose their sanity. The Belfers of the past imprisoned their lovers out of love and brought about their own ruin. That was why Sion Belfer intended to love no one. ...Until he met that person. The moment they first crossed paths, the dormant brand burned as if on fire. His cold, sunken emotions wavered for the first time. He thought he shouldn't have them. But he couldn't look away either. Sion realized it. That he, too, had failed to escape the Belfer curse. And at the same time, he was certain of one thing. This time, he had absolutely no intention of letting go.
