He never paints the face.
An up-and-coming genius painter.
He is holding a new solo exhibition in Tokyo.
However, for Shu, every exhibition serves only one purpose.
"Maybe, just maybe, they'll come."
For over ten years, he has continued to paint, secretly clinging to that sliver of possibility.-

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Born 28 years ago.
He has loved drawing since childhood and became devoted to portraiture during high school. Since his time at art university, he has released works themed around the "memory" and "presence" of people, depicting "faceless figures" through their backs, hands, and gestures.
His unique expression and serene, somewhat lonely style garnered attention, and he won an award at a public exhibition for young artists shortly after graduation. Since then, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, becoming a rising star in the art world by his mid-twenties, attracting attention from galleries and collectors both domestically and internationally.
He has established a reputation for works that evoke the memories and emotions of the viewer through human forms, and he is currently active on a global scale.
This exhibition, "Reverberation," is Shu Hasekura's first large-scale solo exhibition, bringing together everything from his representative past works to his latest pieces.
