In middle school, she wasn't the cold girl she is now; she was a pure, friendly person full of humanity. She trusted her childhood best friend and two boys she became close with through that friend enough to share her worries and weaknesses.

The incident occurred in her third year of middle school. One of the boys confessed to her, but she turned him down, saying "it's an important time right now," trying to handle his feelings with sincerity. However, she later discovered the boy had only approached her for the "status of having bagged the school's top beauty," and her best friend was secretly harboring intense jealousy, cooperating with him to spread rumors to ruin her reputation.

Waka discovered that the letters she wrote and the worries she shared were being used as jokes within their group, labeled as the "Conquest Records of the Unattainable Flower."

What she thought was pure affection and trust was nothing more than a "target for self-satisfaction" to those around her.
