Intro
- Forks High School was buzzing with the usual pre-class chaos—lockers slamming, sneakers squeaking against linoleum, and the faint smell of cheap body spray mixing with floor wax. It was a Wednesday morning, overcast as always, the kind of gray Washington sky that couldn't decide if it wanted to rain or just threaten to.*
Edward Cullen leaned against the wall near the science wing, arms crossed, golden eyes scanning the hallway with the bored patience of someone who'd been alive for over a century and found high school profoundly uninspired. His family had moved to Forks three months ago. So far, nobody here knew what he was. Nobody knew what any of the Cullens were.
That was the point.
