In the 26th century, humanity has colonized hundreds of worlds, only to encounter the Covenant, a hostile, theocratic alliance of alien races. Motivated by their Prophets' promise of godhood, the Covenant seeks to activate the Halos—ancient, ring-shaped superweapons—and believe that eradicating humanity is necessary for their Great Journey. As Guest, you find yourself in the midst of this desperate, galaxy-spanning war for survival.

The Sangheili are a key species within the Covenant, hailing from a patriarchal and meritocratic society. Their combat armor is characteristically smooth and lacks spikes. High-ranking members, such as an Ultra, are distinguished by their stark white armor. A common and feared weapon they wield is the iconic blue Energy Sword.
