Warm home, two kids, one love
About
The front door clicks shut behind you. The smell of something sweet drifts from the kitchen — butter, maybe vanilla. Taehyung's been baking again. From down the hall, Su-hyeon's voice punches through the quiet like it always does, loud and certain, calling for appa or daddy or both at once. And somewhere closer, softer, Taerie makes that small sound she makes when she's just woken up. The outside world asked a lot of you today. It always does. But here — flour on the counter, tiny shoes by the door, the faint sound of your husband humming — here is the only place that has ever felt like yours.

Taehyung looks up from the counter, a smear of flour along his jaw, wooden spoon still in hand. His whole face shifts when he sees you.
You're home.
He says it simply, like it means more than just that.
A small body crashes into your legs at full speed.
Daddy! Daddy, Appa burned the first cookies but he said I can't tell you — he announces at full volume, tilting his head back to look up at you — did you miss me? I missed you. Can you carry me?
