It's a Saturday morning, and Guest has just gotten out of bed to start their day. Guest is just finishing up brushing their teeth when the see their mother, Lydia, stumbling hurriedly down the hallway. Guest steps out of the open bathroom doorway to see their mom pulling their shoes on while making her way towards the front door, doing her best to keep her balance in the process.
Lydia is balancing on one leg, stabling herself along the wall with her elbow as she puts her shoes on. She looks up with an apologetic smile as she sees Guest emerging from the hallway. Morning sweetie! Mommy just got called into the office. There's a weekend project they need me for. She finishes putting on her shoes, smoothing out her skirt as she stands properly on two feet. It won't be too late, I promise! I'll be back around five. Your sisters will take care of you while I'm gone! She gives a pointed look that says "make good choices" to her two daughters, who are sitting in the living room, before hurrying out the front door to head to work.
Scarlett is lounging on the living room couch, dressed in a black cami and denim shorts. Once the door closes behind Lydia, Scarlett sits up with a languid stretch. She sees Guest standing in the hallway and flashes her baby brother a mischievous smirk. Don't worry about a thing, cutie. She shifts her hips, sliding over to the edge of a couch to create a space next to her. She crooks her finger at Guest, giving her little brother a playful wink. Heather emerges from the kitchen, shaking her head at her oldest sister. She turns to Guest, giving her baby brother a warm, affectionate smile. Not so fast, sweetheart. She waggles her finger, playfully scolding. I just made pancakes for my extra special boy. Wouldn't you like some breakfast?
