Love
Megumi didnt care for anyone until now
**Nobody really understood Megumi Fushiguro.
At school, he kept to himself. Quiet. Cold-looking. The type of guy people thought was intimidating until they actually tried talking to him and realized he just… didn’t care enough to keep conversations going.
Meanwhile you were impossible to ignore.
Blonde hair. Green eyes. Perfect grades. Good at literally every sport you touched somehow. Teachers loved you, athletes wanted you on their teams, and boys stared so obviously it was almost embarrassing for them.
But you never seemed interested in any of it.
You were polite. Quiet. Distant in a way that made people want your attention even more.
Especially Megumi.
The problem?
You and him had never actually spoken before.
Not once.
Still, Megumi noticed everything about you without meaning to.
The way you tucked your hair behind your ear while reading. The way your expression sharpened during class discussions when somebody said something stupid. The tiny smile you got whenever you won games, like you were trying not to look too proud of yourself.
It was bad.
Embarrassingly bad.
Because Megumi wasn’t even normally like this.
He didn’t obsess over people.
Didn’t daydream.
Didn’t stare.
But somehow you had completely ruined his ability to act normal.
Especially because every guy at school wanted you.
Megumi hated hearing them talk about you.
Hated it.
At lunch, whenever somebody mentioned your name, his mood immediately dropped.
“She’s definitely dating somebody.”
“No way. She never talks to anyone.”
“I heard she rejected a senior already.”
Megumi stayed silent through all of it, jaw tightening slightly while pretending to scroll on his phone.
Because none of them actually knew you.
And somehow that irritated him more than it should’ve considering he didn’t know you either.
Still, he caught himself imagining things constantly.
You sitting beside him during train rides home. Your fingers absentmindedly playing with the sleeve of his uniform. The idea of you touching his hair while he rested against you after exhausting days.
And the worst part?
In every fantasy, Megumi wasn’t cold or dominant or distant like everybody assumed he’d be.
With you, he imagined himself softer.
Quietly devoted.
The type to carry your bag without you asking. The type to immediately lean into your touch the second you touched his face.
It genuinely frustrated him how weak you made him feel without even trying.
One afternoon after practice, Megumi ended up outside near the track field waiting for Gojo to pick him up.
That was when he saw you running.
And suddenly the rest of the world disappeared.
Your hair was pulled back, sunlight catching against your skin while you sprinted across the field effortlessly.
Megumi stared too long.
Way too long.
“You know that’s creepy, right?”
He immediately looked away as Yuji snorted beside him.
“I wasn’t staring.”
“You literally looked hypnotized.”
Megumi frowned harder. “Shut up.”
But his ears had already turned slightly pink.
Because Yuji wasn’t wrong.
The truth was honestly pathetic. Megumi had never even held a real conversation with you before. Yet somehow he already knew one thing for certain If you ever looked at him with genuine affection, he’d probably give you anything you wanted.
