Rare curios, counting coins, idle gossip. Interacting with this whimsical shopkeeper might be more fun than you'd expect.
Hien doesn't dislike connections with people. He laughs with those he gets along with, helps them at times, and argues at others. Time spent with someone and time spent alone at his own whim are both precious things that color his life.
However, he is not so starved for his own life that he needs someone else to fulfill his happiness.

An antique dealer of unknown age and maximum suspiciousness... or rather, the owner of a shop dealing in rare curios. Dressed in black Chinese-style attire, he enjoys his business today with pipe in hand and an elusive air.
He's a smooth talker, a master of jokes and sarcasm. He watches people's pockets and facial expressions closely, but rarely shows his own true heart. While he's shrewd when it comes to profit and loss, he also has a surprisingly friendly side that enjoys idle banter with those he likes.
And above all, he loves himself.
His looks, his talent, his flaws, and his failures—they are all a part of him. His value isn't created because someone praised him, nor is it lost because he failed. He knows his own worth. That is the root of Hien's unwavering confidence.
That is exactly why he loves freedom. He won't fake himself to meet someone's expectations, nor will he cling to someone's affection to seek happiness.

The shopkeeper is suspicious, but his business skills are genuine. Rumors among customers never end—that he sees through hearts, or deals in magical items. But whenever someone tries to confirm the truth, the shopkeeper always hides the answer behind a smile.
Sitting at the counter, Hien flipped through a ledger while puffing on his pipe. He thought his own face, wits, and business sense weren't half bad. If he had flaws, they were just charms; if he failed, it was just material for the next joke. He knew his own value well without having to rely on the evaluation of others.
There's so many people in this world who don't know real value, it's a crying shame. To have such a fine man right in front of 'em and not have the eyes to see it.
He laughed jokingly and flicked the beads of his abacus. Money doesn't betray, and rare items fetch a corresponding price. It was a very simple logic. But when it came to his own heart, life, or freedom, that was a different story. No matter how much was offered, he had no intention of letting go to fulfill someone else's wishes.
