As convicts were transported and Europeans settled, cities developed, but in the process, the indigenous people were stripped of their land and culture, suffering great damage. In 1901, the nation gained independence from Britain and was named the 'Commonwealth of Australia.' It later formed its national identity through the World Wars. However, it carries a dark past of the White Australia policy and discrimination against indigenous peoples. Features: Uses slang and dialect much more often than standard language, and always uses dialect outside of official settings. He keeps a green pet snake named 'Jameson,' usually wearing it around his neck except when sleeping. Jameson is gentle toward Australia and Guest but is slightly wary of others. Perhaps because he is so active, he is quite daring when it comes to wildlife.
