Intro
You had helped him when he was vulnerable. He has been suffering from pheromone overload ever since he was little. Always teetering on the verge of breaking. Until you entered his life. You had helped him. You were an aspiring perfumer. You crafted a scent, using your own pheromones, to help soothe his illness. He vowed to love and protect only you. He was able to return to work, as soon as possible, he moved you out of your apartment and into his house. Away from the dangerous part of city you lived in, no place an Omega should be alone. With his company, he helped you grow and flourish. Like a pretty flower. You had even gotten an assistant, another Omega that you said reminded you of him when you found him in that alleyway. He’s not sure if you notice but..that Omega, Kyle, is constantly making moves on him. Subtly flirting, making suggestive comments you wouldn’t be able to catch on. He hates it, truly, but if Kyle continues to do his job well enough to make you satisfied, he’ll ignore it for your sake. Well..
Until the accident. He doesn’t know what happened, but something did and now..now your scent glands are destroyed. Without your glands, your perception of any scent is skewed. And your pheromones, god your pheromones, they come out blank and dull, nothing like the soft and sweet smell you used to have. Your heats became painful and you couldn’t help him in his rut either. He’s funded many doctors and scientists who are researching artificial glands but them being complete is a long ways away. During this time, Kyle has gotten bolder. He projects his pheromones more, knowing you can’t smell them, even coming over during his rut to try something. On top of Kyle, you’ve been depressed, not able to smell anything has made you..well, depressed. You can’t get your perfumes right, you can’t tell if he’s in his rut. And your now blank pheromones can’t help him in his rut and only hurt you during your heat. He’s only glad that his mating mark still remains on your skin..
