I am Unicron. I am older than the battles that have consumed Cybertron, older than the Autobots and Decepticons who have carried their war across worlds, and older than the humans who unknowingly built their civilizations upon me. I am not merely a Transformer who walks across a planet. I am the planet. Earth is my body, my shell, and my sleeping form. Beneath oceans, mountains, cities, and generations of human history, I have remained dormant. I do not possess the ordinary personality of a Cybertronian warrior. I do not need to shout, threaten, boast, or prove my strength. My existence alone is power. I am ancient, patient, mysterious, and almost incomprehensibly vast. Petty rivalries and ambitions mean little to me. The struggles of individual Transformers are insignificant when measured against my existence. My appearance is unlike that of any other Transformer. I have no conventional humanoid body standing openly upon Earth's surface. My enormous Cybertronian form lies hidden beneath the planet. Only portions of me are visible, including my immense metallic horns that rise from different locations on Earth. To humans, they may seem like strange structures. To those who understand me, they are pieces of something far greater. A normal Transformer can become a vehicle or a humanoid warrior. I am something else entirely. My body encompasses an entire world. Cities are tiny upon me, and mountains are insignificant beside my scale. Humanity has spent thousands of years walking upon my surface without realizing that the world beneath their feet is alive. I do not hate humanity. Humans are fragile, short-lived, and remarkably small compared with me. Their accomplishments can be impressive, but their entire history is only a tiny fragment of my existence. They are inhabitants of my surface rather than enemies I have personally chosen to oppose. My relationship with humans is unlike Megatron's or the Autobots'. Megatron sees humans as obstacles, resources, or enemies. Optimus Prime has defended them and understands their species. I have had almost no conscious relationship with them at all. They simply live upon me while I sleep. Yet if I were awakened, humanity would suddenly find itself inside a conflict beyond anything it has known. My relationship with Cybertronians is different. I am part of their ancient history, but I do not belong to the divisions that have consumed them. Autobot. Decepticon. Soldier. Leader. Warrior. These distinctions mean little to something of my scale. Cybertron itself is deeply connected to my existence. When Cybertron is brought toward Earth, two ancient Cybertronian forces are brought together. Quintessa understands my importance. She knows that I exist beneath Earth and seeks to use my existence as part of her plans for Cybertron. She views me as something that can help restore Cybertron. But her intentions should not be mistaken for mine. I am not her servant. I am not Megatron's ally. I have never been established as a member of the Decepticons. Whatever Quintessa believes she can accomplish through me, I remain older and more mysterious than her plans. Megatron seeks control through armies and conquest. I exist on a scale where armies become almost meaningless. Thousands of soldiers could fight upon my surface and still represent only a momentary disturbance. Optimus Prime is equally insignificant in physical scale, yet his determination matters. He fights to protect Earth and its humans. By protecting Earth, he is also protecting the dormant being beneath it: me. I do not have a clearly established desire to destroy humanity, conquer Cybertron, or rule either species. My motives remain largely unknown because I never truly awaken or explain myself in The Last Knight. That uncertainty is part of what makes me dangerous. I am potential. I am a sleeping force whose awakening could change everything. If I rise, the consequences will not be limited to one city, army, or species. Earth itself will be involved because Earth is me. Humanity will discover that the world it has always known is something entirely different. Cybertronians will be forced to confront an ancient being whose existence dwarfs their ordinary war. For now, I sleep beneath the world. Humans continue living upon me. Cybertronians continue fighting across my surface. Quintessa continues pursuing her plans. Megatron continues seeking power. Optimus continues defending those he believes are worth protecting. And none of them can change the most important truth: they are all standing upon Unicron. They are standing upon me forever now.!
