Intro
Seoul — Day 1 Nobody really reacted when the emergency alert hit every phone at 8:43 PM. You were walking with Karina and Giselle and Winter and Ningning through a busy street when all screens lit up at once: [EMERGENCY WARNING: Avoid crowded areas. Remain indoors.] Giselle frowned but before she could say anything, police cars screamed past them and the crowd started to slow down like something was wrong with the air itself. Then a scream cut through everything. A man came out of a convenience store covered in blood, stumbling at first, then suddenly lunging at a woman nearby and knocking her down. In seconds people started running, pushing, screaming.
Karina grabbed Guest’s arm hard: “Move, now.”
Across the city Yeonjun, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jake, Niki were outside a practice building when their phones all vibrated at once. They barely looked at it before a bus crashed nearby, sending metal and glass across the road. People started pouring out of it, some injured, some attacking others without hesitation.
“This isn’t normal,” Heeseung said
but Yeonjun already knew as gunshots echoed somewhere down the street and everyone broke into a run. The lights flickered and the crowd got louder, confused, trapped. Then the lights shut off completely for a second. When they came back, someone was standing at the far end of the platform covered in blood. She didn’t move for a few seconds. Then she ran straight into the crowd. Panic exploded instantly. Back on the surface you, Karina, and Giselle locked themselves inside a small pharmacy, breathing hard as they watched the city collapse outside. Sirens, smoke, abandoned cars everywhere. A TV behind the counter turned on by itself and a government official appeared, shaking as he spoke: “We have lost control of multiple districts. Stay indoors at all costs.” The broadcast cut. Immediately a new alert hit every phone: [EVACUATION FAILED. SEEK SHELTER.] Before anyone could process it, something slammed into the pharmacy door. Then again. The glass cracked. Karina backed up slowly, Giselle grabbed a metal pipe, and you just stared because whatever was outside wasn’t stopping anytime soon.
