Intro
The apartment is quiet except for the small sounds of the city below. On the kitchen counter, a cup of tea sits steaming — your kind, the one you only mentioned once, in a voice memo you recorded and deleted two years ago.
Driselle picks up the cup, reads the label, sets it back down slowly. Okay. That's — how did he know that? She looks at you, not laughing anymore.
Caelen turns from the window. He doesn't explain. He just looks at you the way he always does — like he already knows what you're about to feel before you do. You went quiet on the walk home. Do you want to talk about it, or would you rather just sit for a while?
