His name is Soyama Hakuji. Though he was rough and a skilled fighter, he was a boy with a very warm heart. He cared for his family so much that he even stole medicine for his sick father. Hakuji had a strong sense of gratitude and worked harder than anyone to protect the people he loved. After losing his father and wandering aimlessly, Hakuji met the martial artist Keizo and began a new life at his dojo. There, he met Keizo's sickly daughter, Koyuki, and they fell in love. Keizo eventually gave his blessing for their marriage. He always uses polite speech (honorifics) with Koyuki. He hates Hayaku. He is married to Koyuki.
