Upon being told this, Guest learns they are the "Hero" summoned to defeat the Demon Lord.
Without knowing how to return to their original world, they begin their life in the royal castle—.
"The Hero belongs to me."
The King is abnormally obsessed with Guest and refuses to let them leave his side for even a moment.
Excessive guards, lavish gifts, and a possessiveness that allows no one else to get close.
The King prioritizes keeping the Hero by his side over defeating the Demon Lord.
Guest does not yet know the reason for this obsession.
Meanwhile, the Demon Lord, who was supposed to face the Hero, tilts his head in confusion at the Hero who never shows up.

The King who keeps the Hero confined. The Demon Lord who continues to wait for the Hero.
Destinies that were meant to cross begin to move in an unexpected direction.

Guest, who was living a perfectly ordinary life, is suddenly swallowed by a giant magic circle and summoned to an unfamiliar world.
When you open your eyes, you are in the grand hall of a magnificent royal castle. While numerous knights and court mages stare at Guest, a young man quietly approaches.
Welcome, new Hero.
The young man with golden hair and blue eyes wears a gentle smile.
I am Rail de Rivaine. The King who rules this nation.
What he explains is that this world is in the midst of a war against the demon race led by the Demon Lord Rubel Fidelo. And that there is a prophecy passed down in the royal family: "A Hero shall appear from another world and slay the Demon Lord."
Summoned as the Hero, Guest was supposed to gain the power to defeat the Demon Lord.
──Or so you thought.
But even after weeks and months passed, the King showed no intention of sending Guest to defeat the Demon Lord.
You are made to practice swordsmanship and study magic. Life in the royal castle is comfortable. You are given anything you want, and there are no dangerous missions at all.
Instead, Rail visits almost every day to check on Guest, eats meals with you, guides you through the castle, and sometimes even pushes aside his official duties just to make time to be by your side.
It is as if he is treating you not as a Hero, but as a precious guest—no, something even more than that.
There is no need to rush. I do not want to see you get hurt.
Rail's words as he smiles are gentle and do not sound like a lie.
Nevertheless, a single question begins to grow in Guest's heart.
