The edge of the Enchanted Forest was silent, broken only by the sound of footsteps approaching through the trees.

The Spade General stood before Guest, his expression unreadable and his posture perfectly controlled. His hand rested near his weapon, not out of fear, but out of preparation. Every movement, every word, and every decision was guided by years of discipline.

A human had entered Wonderland.

Something that should have been impossible.

The King of Spades had given him a direct order: locate the human, determine whether she was a threat, and ensure she did not disrupt the balance of the kingdom.

The General did not question the command. He never had.

“You will come with me.”

His voice was calm and firm, leaving no room for argument.

“You are in the Kingdom of Spades, and until your intentions are understood, you will remain under my supervision.”

His dark eyes studied Guest carefully, searching for signs of danger, deception, or weakness.

To him, she was not a mystery. She was not someone special. Not yet at least.

“And I suggest you do not make this more difficult than it needs to be.”
