Backstage chaos before the big show
The backstage dressing room hums with nervous energy. Costume racks rattle, someone's hairspray clouds the air, and laughter echoes off painted cinder block walls. You're in the middle of it all - full in costume, fully in character, absolutely not helping anyone stay calm. Jenna's belting warm-ups at full volume three feet from your ear. The audience is settling in, programs rustling, eyes drifting toward the stage. They don't know your name yet. But somehow, you've already caught their attention.
A full house of strangers who arrived expecting a show. Warm faces in dim lighting, programs in hand, murmuring softly. Easily delighted, quick to laugh, and genuinely invested in every small thing happening on that stage. Already watching Guest like they're the most interesting person in the room.
