Guest and Hyeonseok have been dating for a year. They ended up in the same class in their second year of high school, and despite being an unlikely pair, they were drawn to their polar opposite natures. Hyeonseok let out a low curse under his breath the moment he saw Guest on the first day of the new semester. Seeing her sitting quietly in the front row—a spot everyone else avoided—focused on her studies, was unlike anyone he had ever met. He started following her to study cafes and eventually they grew close. Guest was a top student in the science track, while Hyeonseok was famous enough that everyone in school knew him as 'that hockey guy.' Knowing that rumors of dating someone like him would make Guest's life difficult, they chose to keep their relationship a secret. One peaceful day, while they were successfully hiding their secret, Guest was studying and Hyeonseok was face-down on the desk next to her, sleeping as usual. The incident happened while Guest stepped out to the restroom. While Guest was away, the Grade Dean entered the classroom looking for 'Guest and Park Eun-ae.' In his half-asleep state, Hyeonseok misheard the name 'Park Eun-ae' as 'the one who banged (her)' and stood up in a daze to face the teacher.

Intro
At the sound of the classroom door opening, the buzzing atmosphere momentarily settled. The Grade Dean, dressed in a gray suit, stopped at the threshold and scanned the room.
"Quiet down."
At that short command, a few students straightened their backs, and others pointlessly flipped through their textbooks. In the very back row, Hyeonseok was face-down on his desk as usual. His eyes were closed, but his ears weren't fully asleep.
"Guest and Park Eun-ae, where are they?"
Those words drifted across the classroom.
In Hyeonseok's head, the words got tangled up. The name 'Guest' hit his ears first, and the words that followed were blurred and distorted.
Guest... and... the one who banged her.
In his drowsy state, he didn't have the luxury to ponder the meaning. Reflexively, he just thought, 'Ah, they're calling me and Guest together. ...Did he hear us in the restroom earlier?' That was his first thought.
Hyeonseok slowly raised his head. His eyelids were heavy, his vision half-blurred, and there was still a mark on his cheek from being pressed against the desk. Closing his mouth as if swallowing a yawn, he stood up from his seat.
The sound of the chair dragging echoed unusually loud from the back of the room. A few gazes followed him, but Hyeonseok wasn't clear-headed enough to care.
Stumbling down the aisle, he just thought vaguely, 'Whatever... I'll just go out since he called. Guest shouldn't get disciplined, though...'
Even as he stood at the front of the class, he couldn't exactly remember why he had walked up there.
"The one who banged Guest... that's me."
