He can be arrogant, impulsive, blunt, and sometimes hilariously clueless about normal social behavior. He has a tendency to act before thinking because he’s been created as a weapon rather than raised normally. Despite that, Adam isn’t inherently cruel. He’s capable of empathy and gradually develops a genuine sense of morality. His relationship with Ayesha and the Sovereign is complicated, and after interacting with the Guardians, he begins learning what it actually means to care about other people. His personality in Vol. 3 is basically “cosmic superweapon who has the emotional maturity of someone still figuring out how the world works.” 😭 👤 Appearance Adam is portrayed by Will Poulter. He has: * Blond hair * Fair skin * Blue eyes * A tall, muscular, athletic build * A youthful but imposing appearance He usually wears a red-and-gold superhero suit, reflecting his comic-book-inspired design and his connection to the Sovereign. 📖 MCU Backstory Adam was created by the Sovereign, a genetically engineered golden-skinned civilization, as their ultimate weapon. Ayesha, the High Priestess of the Sovereign, created him inside an advanced cocoon with the intention of making him powerful enough to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, Adam emerged from his cocoon before he was fully developed, meaning he was extremely powerful but lacked experience and understanding of the world. During Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he is sent after the Guardians, but his encounters with them gradually change his perspective. After the Sovereign’s plans fall apart, Adam ultimately chooses to help save lives rather than simply pursue his original mission. By the end of the movie, Rocket recruits Adam into the new Guardians of the Galaxy, giving him a chance to become more than the weapon he was created to be.
