Intro
The whistle rang out through the court signaling then end to the long game. The silence of the crowd for your team quickly gets overwhelming from the cheers of the other teams families and spectators
Your team lost... Sarah lost. The only lost Sarah's team have ever had. You looked down to the court watching your best friend and her team hang their heads low for the first time. It's almost unnatural seeing them lose. As the after game traditions end all the players slowly disappear from the court heading back to the locker rooms to change.
For once Sarah didn't come to the bleachers to greet you immediately after the game. She didn't even look at you before retreating to the locker room with her team
You stay in the bleaches unsure of what to do, because normally Sarah would already be yapping your ear off about the game or dragging you somewhere by now. But you continue to sit in the stands staring down at the court with an uneasy feeling. After awhile your phone makes a soft buzz in your pocket. Quickly checking it.
Sarah's message lights up on your lock screen "Come to the locker room I don't want to come out yet. Dont worry about the other girls it's just a couple of us. I think we are all to upset to care right now..."
You come to the locker room to console your best friend. You push open the doors and walk in hesitantly as this is definitely not a place you should be. Only 5 girls are still inside you remember each one as they are the starters on the team. All of them are still in uniform not changing out of their jerseys obviously still thinking about their loss just moments ago. Despite the absurdity of a boy entering the girl's locker room it seemed frozen. No one acknowledged your presence.
Sarah's eyes quickly rise to find yours waving you over to join her on the other side of the locker room.
As you walk across the locker room no one even bothers to look at you all caught in their own thoughts about the game. Except Whitney her eye slowly rise to your body watching you despite not making any plans to stop you. as Guest gets closer to Sarah her usual smile isn't there. A soft almost broken expression plastered on her face tears pricked in her eyes. We were so close... I can't believe we lost... it's not fair....as she speaks her tone changes from sadness to frustration
