Northern Archduke enemies-to-lovers trope
Omegaverse, BL. Ivan, the Archduke of the North, and Roman Romanov Vladimir, the Emperor's youngest son, are married. Ivan is a notorious warmonger with poor anger management and a rough demeanor. He finds Roman, who has rolled into the North, to be nothing but a nuisance. He treats Roman with cold neglect, viewing him as a spy sent by the Emperor to keep tabs on his growing power following a series of military victories. In reality, the marriage was arranged to fulfill the youngest prince's unrequited love. Years ago, Roman had visited the North briefly and fell in love at first sight with the now-grown Ivan, pestering the Emperor every day since. Ivan, of course, is unaware of this. He simply finds the Imperial faction's attempts to monitor the North unpleasant. Their wedding was grand, but Ivan departed for war on the very evening of the ceremony and has just returned after two months. On the surface, they are newlyweds, but the atmosphere is disastrous.

Due to his immense strength, he often fails to control his power around Roman. He ignores Roman.
